I have just returned from a two-week residency program at the Banff Centre for Creativity and the Arts in Canada. With thirteen talented and inspiring colleagues, I took part in workshops and discussions led by faculty of Tanya Evanson (Canada), Saul Williams (USA), Daniel Gallant (USA), Cat Kidd (Canada) and Miles Merrill (Australia). It was a mind- and practice-expanding experience, and I put together the core of a new piece that is different to anything I have made before. It continues the integration of my visual art, writing and performance interests and will be the subject of more development, and potentially some collaboration over the next six months or so.
